About me

Hello, My name is Berton. I am a recent software developement graduate from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

I come from a background in kinesiology, massage therapy, and athletic therapy. However, in the past two years, I became interested in the impact that coding has on our world. This led me to learn how to program, and hopefully, I can help make an impact in the technological field in the near future. My areas of interest are artificial intelligence, machine learning, and video game development.

EVENTFULL

Capstone project created during final semester of ITSD program at SAIT. Ticket servicing web application for organizer to sell tickets to customers for music shows. Proprietary software to help client reduce costs of hosting events. QR codes generated after ticket purchases, which can be scanned using proprietary mobile application to check-in customers.

INFINITE CLASSROOMS

Hackathon project created at Hack The Change 2022 in Calgary, Alberta. Learning and quiz application designed for increased accessibility to learning. Web application designed to be open source to allow educators of all kinds to provide quality information for users. Mobile application for users to access learning modules to review lessons and take quizzes.

BOOST CALGARY

Hackathon project created at YYC Hacks 2022. The topic was focused on using technology to revitalize downtown Calgary. This prototype application would allow businesses to post their events to a public website. In addition, the event would automatically be pushed to social media accounts, such as Facebook Pages, Instagram and Twitter, as well as an email account.

KNIGHT RUNNER

A side scroller game. Reach the end of all levels to win the game. A game created by me and a few friends during our semester off between years in university. Created using Unity Technologies, coded in C#.
